Hold your horses: Briar Woods students start equestrian club

There’s a new sports team in Loudoun County, and it comes on hooves. Briar Woods High School has started the first public school equestrian team in Northern Virginia. The team was founded by sophomore and team captain Kayla Shroyer, with assistance from her mother Beth Shroyer.

W. Equestrian. No. 7 Gamecocks Host Cowgirls at 10 a.m. Sunday

The South Carolina equestrian team returns to action on Sunday, as the seventh-ranked Gamecocks host No. 6 Oklahoma State at 10 a.m. at One Wood Farm in Blythewood. Admission to all equestrian events is free.
